Pupuke 110th Anniversary Black Tie Dinner

Join us on Saturday, September 7th at 7pm for an unforgettable evening as we celebrate the 110th Anniversary of Pupuke Golf Club.

Enjoy a splendid 3 course dinner, hear from our special guest speaker, Tom Abercrombie, former NZ Breakers and NZ Basketball Captain, and be entertained by a fantastic band into the night in addition to some fantastic stories and anecdotes about Pupuke over the years.

Guest Speaker: Tom Abercrombie

Tom Abercrombie, is a New Zealand former professional basketball player renowned for his illustrious 16-season career in the Australian National Basketball League (NBL) with the New Zealand Breakers. A product of Westlake Boys High School in Auckland, Abercrombie had a brief college basketball stint with Washington State before debuting in the Australian NBL in 2008 with the Breakers. In 2011, he won his first NBL championship and earned Grand Final MVP honours. He went on to win three more championships in 2012, 2013, and 2015, ending his NBL career in 2024 as the Breakers' most-capped player with 429 games.

Tom also had stints abroad in France, Spain, and Turkey.  Tom is a keen golfer who has swapped the hardwood for the greens and is often seen at Pupuke either on the course or as part of our ad campaigns. His remarkable career and experiences will surely make for an inspiring and engaging talk.

Entertainment

Music will be provided by a talented Auckland band, ensuring a lively atmosphere for the night. There will also be other exciting entertainment throughout the evening.
