Boasting two New Zealand Open winners in Lydia Ko and Mike Hendry from their ranks you can see why it has the reputation as the course that creates champions.

The undulating terrain and small target areas mean Pupuke provides a stern but fair test to all levels of golfer. We welcome both members and green fee players to come and test themselves at Pupuke.

It’s one of the more storied ‘moments’ in New Zealand golf folklore. It was the day a six-year-old Lydia Ko and her mother, Tina, walked into Pupuke Golf Club on Auckland’s North Shore and introduced themselves to a young coach by the name of Guy Wilson.

“I’ve known Lydia since the moment she walked in the door at Pupuke. I was on the putting green at Pupuke that day, that was my club as a junior,” recalls Michael Hendry of the 2003 encounter...

39/9 Program

Developed at Pupuke our 39/9 program is designed specifically for families of mixed abilities to play together. With 5 tees from 25m all the way to 150m each family member can play from the tee that matches their ability. If you are able to beat 39 for 9 holes from your tee then you get to move up to the next tee and win bragging rights against the rest of the family!

Family Time

Pupuke is a strong advocate of junior and family golf. We reserve times on Sundays so that both Juniors and families can get out on the course and experience golf together. Our coaches provide strong links to the local schools and developing juniors as golfers and humans is a vital part of the Pupuke ethos.
