6-Week Chip & Sip Programme – Term 1

Pupuke’s biggest and most popular programme is back! Every Tuesday night in summer, over 280+ women take over the course to learn, laugh, sip, and swing. This is New Zealand’s largest women’s golf programme — and the best way to get into golf in a fun, unintimidating environment.

Programme Dates

• Every Tuesday from 10 Feb - 17 March

• Rain date: 24 March

Class times: 5–6pm, 6–7pm, 7–8pm - 10 spots per class

Cost: $250 + booking fee

What You’ll Learn in the Beginner and Intermediate Programme

Across the 6 weeks, coaches may tailor sessions to suit the group, but typically you’ll cover:

• 3x Short-game sessions: Chipping & Putting

• 2x Iron/Driver sessions: Ball contact, distances

• 1x On-course session: Playing a hole, applying your skills

What You’ll Learn in the On-course lessons (Intermediates only)

This term we are offering 2x 2hour on-course lesson. Please only choose this option if you are an intermediate She Loves Golfer. These sessions focus on course management only, so no technical swing coaching. It is important that everyone in this group is at a similar level so as to not disadvantage others in the group.

Meet the Coaching Team

Our roster includes PGA Professionals, trainees, and passionate women coaches, such as:

• Andy Ivermee (Head Pro) – 20+ years’ experience in UK & NZ. The peak of all coaches, great with experienced golfers in this SLG field trying to break into on-course playing.

• Pam – A Pupuke and Harbour legend, golf scholarship alum, passionate about women’s golf. Super chill, slighty old school, but also super knowledgeable and cool for an old gal (she's totally fine with us saying that btw...).

• Shannon – PGA of NZ, passionate advocate for women in golf. Great for a 20–40 age group. Very upbeat, energetic, and fun, with clear and articulate explanations.

• Annette – Golf leader and junior chaperone at nationals. Strong with Gen X / Boomer groups (you gals rock!). More traditional coaching style, very warm, and highly effective.

• Sara – Harbour rep, high-energy and fun. Suits a slightly more mature Millennial / Gen X audience (roughly 30–50). Calm, engaging, and relatable.

• Becs - Chill, fun, passionate about women's golf. Ideal for 30–50. Super relaxed, an excellent player, and explains things from a player’s perspective, which resonates well.

• Frankie – Pupuke PGA Trainee, Head of Pupuke Junior Programme & SLG Experienced. A true all-rounder, works well across age groups.

• Giles – PGA Trainee and long-time Chip & Sip fill-in. An all-rounder, suits all age groups - Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X and Boomers!

• Jack – Pupuke PGA Trainee, lot's of SLG Experience. Jack will be running the on-course sessions! 4-6pm & 6-8pm.

The Sip part of 'Chip & Sip'

As Chip & Sip continues to grow, we’re making a small update to the “Sip” part of the programme to better reflect what you told us you want. Thank you for participating in last terms survey!

Each week, one complimentary alcoholic drink and one complimentary non-alcoholic drink will be available for participants to enjoy on the night (one drink per person, no takeaways). This ensures everyone feels included, whether you choose to drink alcohol or not. If neither of these options suits you, your first drink of the evening will be available at half price.

We’ll no longer be providing food as part of the programme. This allows us to focus on what matters most - great coaching, a welcoming environment, and a relaxed social space where women feel comfortable staying, connecting, and enjoying the club.

FAQs

I booked for 6pm (or 7pm), why does my ticket say 5pm?

The reference to time, regardless of your ticket, refers to the day the entire programme starts. Your ticket name is the actual time you have booked.

Can I be in my friend’s group?

Yes! But you’ll need to book together. Each class has a max capacity, so one person booking for your group is the easiest way.

I don’t have clubs…

No worries — we supply everything.

What do I wear?

Clothes are ideal.

When will I get details?

You’ll receive a full info email on Friday 6 February with everything you need to know.

What’s the difference between Beginner & Intermediate?

• Beginner: Learning the basics — grip, swing, chipping.

• Intermediate: You’ve done a course before and are ready for more technical coaching.

• Hybrid: Somewhere in between.

  
  

What’s the On-Course Session?

This is a transition session for those who’ve completed Beginner & Intermediate. No technique teaching, just applying what you’ve learned to the course.
