What to expect?
Girls Golf is a fun, supportive programme designed especially for girls to learn, play and build confidence in golf.
Across six weeks, girls will develop skills in full swing, short game, putting and on-course play through games, challenges and plenty of practical learning. The focus is on building skills, confidence, friendships and a genuine love of the game in a relaxed girls-only environment.
Equipment is provided. Lollies likely.
Who are your coaches?
Our Girls Golf coaching team is made up of talented young female golfers who know the game, love the game, and are excited to help the next generation get into it.
Monday Coaching Team
Ling
A university student, Harbour representative and experienced Pupuke coach. Ling already works with juniors and women across our programmes and brings a calm, kind and encouraging approach to every session.
Ava
At just 14, Ava recently competed at the Junior Nationals and went unbeaten with an incredible 6 wins from 6. Ava has been part of Pupuke since the beginning of her golf journey and is now ready to start passing that knowledge on to younger girls.
Friday Coaching Team
Sophie
At 16, Sophie is already an experienced Harbour representative and is now part of the New Zealand Talent Development Squad. She brings plenty of playing experience and a great understanding of what it takes to keep developing. Sophie has a fish called Orange.
Felisha
Winner of the 2026 Pupuke Easter Classic, Felisha is a talented Harbour golfer, a great player and someone who will bring plenty of energy and fun to the programme. Felisha has two adorable dogs!
Learn. Play. Belong.
What is Girls Golf?
Girls golf is a Golf New Zealand Initiative we are putting into action!
It's a programme led by girls, for girls.
Sessions will be guided by Girls golf leaders, offering something a little different from the traditional golf model. These sessions focus on fun, connection, and belonging, creating an environment where girls feel free to be themselves and explore golf on their own terms. You can expect games, challenges, social meet ups and on course team sessions – just to name a few!
