TWILIGHT

Twilight at Pupuke

Twilight Golf is one of our biggest events in the calendar, running each year every week during the Daylight savings period. As shorter formats of golf become increasingly popular, the field is a sell out each week with at least 120 golfers from the Club and beyond taking part. We get players form all over Auckland attracted to this competition each week.

This year we are proud to partner with Sculptureum, Parakai Hot Springs, Browns Bay Butchery and Golf NZ to bring us prize tables each week.

We have adopted Golf NZ’s Make time Play 9 property which gives you the chance to WIN a once in a lifetime prize!

What is Make Time Play 9?

Make Time Play 9 is about promoting a shorter format of the game and encouraging people to get out and play 9 holes.

Acknowledging that everyone is busy, we encourage people to make time in their day to do things that are meaningful to them, to be active, to be with their friends and family, to take on a new personal challenge, and to have fun! What better way to do that than on the golf course?

Nine holes can be played by anyone. It’s ideal for all ages and skill levels. It’s fun, flexible and quick which makes it easy to fit into your day, no matter how busy your schedule is.

That’s why we’re encouraging you to Make Time, Play 9!

Road to the Open

From 1 October 2021, club members who hand in a 9-hole scorecard will be in with a chance to be randomly drawn as one of nine players invited to the Make Time Play 9 Final event hosted in Queenstown in 2022.

The two leading scorers from the Final event will win a once in a lifetime trip to play in The R&A 9-Hole Challenge on the eve of The 150th Open Championship at St Andrews* in 2022.

Every 9-hole round played will contribute as a new entry, whether it is during a club competition, summer twilight, or a round with friends to encourage club members to play more!

Entries close 31 March 2022.

*In the event where The R&A 9-Hole Challenge is cancelled, or participants are unable to travel due to covid-19 restrictions, an alternative prize will be offered.
